Logan Square

Roughly halfway between City Hall and the Art Museum, Logan Square is lined with places to learn and discover: the Free Library of Philadelphia, the Franklin Institute science museum and the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. In its traffic-circle center is the Swann Fountain, a celebration of the city’s waterways sculpted by Alexander Stirling Calder. Around the square are tranquil residential neighborhoods of mostly modern townhomes, accented by the occasional eatery, with high-rise condos lining its waterfront edge along the Schuylkill.
